If you love Jesus but also crave relatable music about the human experience, Laura Williams might be your next favorite Christian artist. With powerful vocals and indie-pop lyricism, Laura’s mission is to bridge the gap between believers and nonbelievers—reaching those who feel unreachable and showing them Jesus in a personable, honest way.
“If Jesus knows what it’s like to be human, why can’t songs about real life be considered Christian music too? He sat with sinners. He cried, grieved, loved, danced…I think we do a disservice to the world when we say Christian music has to fit a formula.”
Over the last four years, Laura has appeared on The Voice, released original music, and performed on stages and festivals across the country alongside artists including Ben Fuller, Allison Eide, Anne Wilson, Katy Nichole, and more. Her music spans from soaring ballads about heartbreak, hopelessness, and the heart of Jesus to groovy pop songs tackling church hurt, salvation anxiety, and works-based faith. Inspired by artists like Lauren Spencer Smith and Olivia Rodrigo, Laura’s music has garnered millions of streams across platforms, while her social media presence has grown to tens of thousands of followers.
Laura’s songwriting was shaped by her own experiences with bullying, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and OCD. What began as painful experiences became poems, and eventually songs. Now, at 23, she hopes to write music for a generation that needs to know that being a messy human being and loving Jesus are not mutually exclusive.
Her greatest inspiration and favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
